The football season may be coming to an end but the positive news from Harlaw Park shows no signs of letting up. Cole Anderson, Lloyd Robertson and Jay Halliday have all signed contract extensions.
Having had a highly productive campaign that saw him net eleven goals from midfield, Anderson has committed to Harlaw Park until at least 2027. Now in his third year as a Railwayman, fans’ favourite Cole debuted in the win over Nairn in 2023 and has blossomed & flourished under the guidance of Dean Donaldson & his coaches, regularly being the heartbeat of the side.
Gaffer Deano added: “Cole has been brilliant for us since we came to the club. His attitude is top notch and his contribution of over twenty goal involvements this term is really impressive”.
Robertson and Halliday have signed on until 2028. Lloyd debuted on matchday one of the 2021/22 season and has gone on to make one hundred and forty appearances to date, netting eighteen goals, most recently at Christie Park on Saturday.
Jay’s debut was in a win over Brechin City under the Harlaw lights in October 2021, and he has gone on to make a further one hundred & two appearances, scoring seventeen goals along the way.
Donaldson, set to lead the Railwaymen to their best Highland League finish in seven seasons, commented: “These two players committing their futures to Inverurie Locos is superb news and another important step forward in our ongoing improvement plans for the football club. The players dovetail impressively on the park, and are good mates off the field too”.
